Striving for quality and perfection

My name is Kim Boucher and my passion is dobermans.

I am a member in good standing of the Canadian Kennel Club, Alberta Doberman Pinscher Club and Doberman Pinscher Club of Canada.

I have owned, bred and shown my own Dobermans for more than 10 years. My family and I live in the country, just east of Edmonton, AB on five acres of land, three of which are fenced for our dogs. Our home is like an over-sized dog house, completely suited to the dogs' needs. All of our dogs live in the house and can usually be found molded to the couch.

When I first started, my intention was to own just one dog - that was our "Hooker". Years later I have bred several litters, had two Best In Specialty winners and handled many of my dogs to their Championships and Companion Dog titles. I love conformation and obedience with a passion. At present I am trying to establish my distinct 'style' of Doberman ... one that people can look at and say, "Is that dog a Jurassik dog?" I feel that I have begun to do this.

I have had many ups and downs combined with many great learning experiences over the years. In 1999 Sydney and I won the Alberta Doberman Pinscher Club Specialty which was judged by esteemed judge Linda Krukar (Dabney Dobermans ). It was my pleasure to achieve this win with a young Hooker granddaughter. Winning this Specialty with my Sydney was a feeling that I will never forget. Having bred, owned, trained and handled her myself, the win was rewarding in so many ways.

In 2001 I had the honor of having two Best Puppy In Group winners in one litter: Sushi and Pheonix. I am looking forward to carrying on the Jurassik bloodlines with these two girls.

Sushi produced bred with Jason (AmCAnCh Fabert's Field of Gold) one beautiful girls. One of them is Kyoto who has performed above and beyond our biggest expectations.

I strongly believe in a healthy, sound Doberman and I do all of the necessary testing (VWD, OFA, Thyroid). I try to breed for health and quality as well as to upgrade the longevity of the Doberman. I feed my dogs a natural, raw diet (based on the principles of Dr. Ian Billinghurst - www.barfworld.com) and encourage my puppy owners to also follow these principles.
